Ray Zhang is a Certified Public Accountant with over ten years of comprehensive experience in auditing and tax services for both private and public corporations. As the co-founder and managing partner of Ray & Chi LLP, Ray oversees all aspects of accounting, auditing, tax compliance and preparation.
Before establishing Ray & Chi LLP, he served as an experienced senior financial statements auditor at Ernst & Young, where he specialized in public auditing within the banking, capital, and fintech industries. Prior to his tenure at Ernst & Young, Ray was a senior auditor at one of the top 10 public accounting firms, delivering a full spectrum of financial reporting services, including audits, reviews, compilations, consulting, and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
Earlier in his career, Ray worked as a senior tax professional at regional public accounting firms, providing tax services to high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations. He has developed expertise in international tax compliance, tax provisions, partnership taxation, and multi-state income and franchise tax issues.
Ray holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California and an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
